Hi everyone, Need referral for for software engineering in any Hft firm as I have interest in finance, trading, etc.
I've passed out recently in 2021 from IIT. I'm currently working as software engineer in Oracle at 30 LPA.

Thank you for the comments everyone.
I'm currently in the tech strategy group at Accenture, which means I'm essentially working on addressing business issues (top-line growth, workforce management, etc. but usually cost reduction) through a tech lens (e.g., evaluating strategic IT initiatives, capability and maturity assessments, benchmarking, some financial modeling / projections, etc.). I'm also specialized in the financial services industry.
Currently pulling down about $220k with bonus: figured base of at least $250k would be appropriate for a jump.
While the work im doing right now is moderately engaging, I'd like to move to the fintech strategy space (e.g., blockchain, AI, ML, etc.) in industry as I'm quite interested in the potential applications and would like to explore the area. Plus, not looking forward to resuming the traveling lifestyle as COVID restrictions ease up - I know the likelihood of the classic 4-days-a-week travel schedule coming back anytime soon is low, but I'd rather err on the side of caution, my mental health, and the health of my marriage.
Appreciate any additional insights.
A2, pretty good comp, even for Accenture. Like I said, sounds like you're on the right track
You’d have to be a Managing Director to get $300k+
“Struggling”…count your blessings that’s all I’ll say
Fuck off.
Struggling to figure out what to do next when a role is dying out is normal. It’s not all about money but it’s important when you’re at this range
$300k+ and WLB means you’re going boutique, which also means you’ll be at a level where you need to actively bring in business for your firm (clients, deals, capital). Sector-specific strategy in a vertical org likely hasn’t given you the background you need to grow an org at that comp level, so you might need to settle for less comp until you build a network such that you can pursue an MD or partner promotion either at the same firm or lateral.
Appreciate the thoughtful reply.
Fair, I'd say I don't have the experience to bring in capital / clients for a boutique.
Any insight into roles with my criteria at larger finserv firms (e.g., JP Morgan, Schwab, etc.)? Say at the Director level?
You don’t like Consulting? Why specifically financial services ?
Following. Also do you mean you’re in strategy/biz ops for a tech company, or in product management/strategy?
Also out of curiosity, why fin services?
Interested bc I’m in a similar situation
