Im currently a senior associate at RSM getting promoted to supervisor (role between senior and manager). I have offers with big 4 to be in accounting advisory, but it would be as a senior with no pay bump. Would it be worth it for the exit opps? I eventually want to leave public as a manager

If you want to make manager and then leave it sounds like the fastest route to doing that is staying. Beyond that as far as hours, pay, interest in advisory would be the other factors I’d consider

Do you think leaving as a manager from a mid tier would hurt me? I used to be at big 4 and I’d be boomeranging. Wondering if having that name already on my resume would be sufficient enough

Why not switch to tac?

Can you provide insight about TAC?

So here is my dilemma:
- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?

I spent the first few years out of school working in music before getting into advertising as an account person. Quickly realized it wasn’t for me. Busted my ass working with the creatives on the side until I was able to build a decent enough portfolio for an agency to take a chance on me as a full time CW. I think I’ll be a Senior CW soon, but it feels like most folks my age (30) have been in that role for a bit or already past it. Since I can’t turn back time, any tips for catching up?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

I applied for and was screened by HR for a Director position. It wasn't a good fit but I was passed over to another VP. I had a phone interview with that VP which went very well. He expressed interest in creating a Director level role for me based on my experience and interests. I received feedback via a 3rd-party recruiter that the company is in the process of creating a req. and will bring me on-site for another interview. Problem: They changed the level to Principal Eng.
