I put them through a trial month (no base + commission only) and they do not close a single deal, Even though the commission structure is amazing and I’m incentivizing them through the roof. I was referred by a guy to EY GDS for chennai location. But HR says the opening is for Bangalore location, and quoting salary lesser than my expectation. I am 100% sure the position open for chennai also.

When do I begin adjusting? It’s been 4 months. I joined as an associate and I feel like sometimes my work is sloppy or I’m overwhelmed. I’ve gotten feedback that I’m making progress but that sounds fake. I’ve also gotten feedback that my work is sometimes sloppy. The last report I helped write had a ton of write ups on it. People are always talking up a&m on this bowl. Reality is, while FDD there may be great, M&A tax is a dumpster fire. Tons of attrition, tons of boomeranging back to big 4, etc..

Does anyone have experience with modeling courses like WSP or FMVA? Currently in FDD and exploring making the jump to IB in the next year or so. I be got a good academic record, a CPA, fairly relevant experience in M&A, but no on the job modeling experience so I would think that certification coupled with everything else would nudge me in the right direction.
