What will be the in-hand salary??? KGS
Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?
What are all the rounds of interviews in Deloitte USI? I had going through Technical and HR. Was expecting there would be some salary discussion during HR round, but wasn't any. Although they took my current CTC structure. I was told Talent team deals with salary and not the manager who contacted the HR round. Can someone please let me know what can I expect further? That seems odd. When I’m working with a recruiter I always let them tell me what the rate is - most of the time there is no room for negotiation. They never withhold that info either.
Had a very similar experience @OP. It’s odd (and seems rare) when they won’t talk about their range for salary upfront. Wastes everyone’s time doing interviews if it’s known the salary won’t line up.
I’d provide a range you’d be comfortable accepting, say you completely understand if that’s not what the role is offering, but you don’t want to waste anyone’s time interviewing if your needs can’t be met.
I will say that there are times that I’m willing to fight for a higher salary than initially scoped because the candidate is awesome. Also times that I’ll pass initially on a candidate because their range is too high.
Not discounting that some recruiters are terrible, especially when they’re new to a department.
