How are you preparing for your 2022 goals?
I would advice you get some good experience on your back before going for your masters degree. Getting valuable work experience > another degree. Good luck
Having a solid foundation of sql and python will take you a long way. You've probably heard this before but messing around with some of the datasets or projects in Kaggle can be super beneficial for both learning and putting on your resume. If you're looking more into the BI and dashboarding world, Microsoft has a Power BI cert you could try for. It took me about 2 months of studying to get and my employer valued it. Best of luck!
Agree with sgmm1. Get some real job experience before masters to see if you like the field. A lot of marketing stuff they teach you in school is not that applicable in real life.
Datacamp.com!!! It allowed me to pivot into data and continues to be a good place to learn new things.
I agree with other recommendations here of getting some work experience, especially since a lot of companies will pay for some of your tuition. A general degree like https://online.seas.upenn.edu/degrees/mcit-online/ could allow you to still continue your education and open more professional options too.
Are you in the PHL area? We're a media agency & hire entry-level people.
I am actually! I’m right outside Philly
1. Get work experience before going for a masters if at all possible
2. Learn SQL and Python. These unluck a ton of $150k+ roles that are hard to reach without the skill. You otherwise need to be a people manager or have deep subject matter insight into a domain
Saint Joseph’s University has a good online grad program
their campus is right outside philly too
Agree with others about work experience. I had 4 YOE before getting my masters and it was very beneficial
