Also curious how you were able to go through the interview process while on medical leave. I’d be prepared to discuss that when you give your notice.
That was my point in the question of timing...giving notice while on medical leave looks like, well, you took time off to interview under the protection of medical leave. THAT is what would be very poor form.
Very poor form indeed. I’m sorry but the fact you’re interviewing while on medical leave seems a bit off. If you were my direct report I’d burn the bridge myself.
OP obviously we don’t know the details of your medical condition, but the curiosity is in the fact that while you are in medical leave you are giving your two weeks so you can start another job elsewhere right after you just got off medical leave. Just brings to question if you can actually start working before earlier than your indicated medical leave return date.
I went on the interviews before my short term leave but I received the offer during my leave. It put me in a weird situation
@op, this raises a lot of questions and the bridge is going to be burned. I really wouldnt give reason to why you are leaving the company because it only looks worse on your end
If the stress of the job put you on medical leave, big 4 isn't going to be any better
Also, if you're on medical leave you can just resign. All your work has been reassigned anyway
