I’m currently trying to decide between accepting two offers with different B4 accounting firms for Senior Audit Associate. They’re both being extremely aggressive in their efforts to get me to make a decision and I’m genuinely not sure which to chose. Has anyone experienced this in the past? I just want a few days to decide, but my phone rings at least once a day with someone asking me how I’m feeling. I’m also currently employed and working so I’m very overwhelmed as the calls are disruptive.

In picking which big 4 firm I was all about the people. At the end of the day we pretty much all do the same thing but you want to like who you work with. If you haven’t met many people from either firm ask to be connected to hear about others experience.

That being said, if this is between KPMG and another big 4, chose the other big 4.

I’ve been w DT and KPMG in two different cities. I’d take DT in one city and KPMG in the other. People are the biggest factor and firm office culture in one city can be VERY different in another city. Also maybe see which b4 will give you better / more interesting clients. I’d take a public job with any b4 over a small private job with the “best” b4

Pick based on colors. If you like Green, Deloitte. Blue, KPMG. Yellow, EY. Reds/Oranges/etc. PwC.

Best way to choose a job I promise

With the traditional audit busy season starting a month away, and most big four employees wanting to disconnect for the holidays in about 2 weeks, I can’t say I’m surprised people are trying to pressure you to decide quickly so that things can get processed and have you start early January. Teams are trying to get their staffing figured out ASAP so that is probably why you are getting constant update requests so they can decide if they should plan on you or not. If you think these people are annoying nagging you to make a job decision, are they going to drive you crazy when it’s for audit test work haha :)

More segmented part of accounting so you’ll get good at something that most industries don’t care about. Can be some brutal hours depending on the engagement

My two cents at least

They are all almost exactly the same

Same koolaide - different color

I have two offers, looking for some help deciding between the two:

- First is from a Boutique Corporate Finance M&A firm. £20m to £200m deal size.

- Second offer is to do Financial Due Diligence at a Big 4 firm.

Hi everyone! I’m an S1 in tax at a Big 4 in NY (only been here for a few months). I was recently offered a chance to join a long term engagement (at least one year) for a massive new client. I’ll only be focusing on the tax provision aspect for them. They’re building out a team just for this client from scratch. Do you think this is a good project to be on? Any negatives or drawbacks? Thank you all! I’d appreciate any advice!

Two questions for those of you at Big 4/other national firms:

As project management experts, we know how to manage teams. Shopify is simply a means to an end.
