I use YNAB. And I went from always broke to buying a house in two years.
They have autodownload. I just prefer doing manually.
Quicken.
+1 for YNAB! Game changer.
Was using Mint and got annoyed after several months. Switched to YNAB 4 months ago and I’ll never go back, it is awesome. I still use PC for net worth and investment tracking, but YNAB for all other budgeting needs.
YNAAAAAAAB

I've used both and can't stand either. Personal capit al is a little better, but they basically will start cold calling you to pay for their advisory services which are expensive.
I started using simplifi. It's 3.99 a month but is a much cleaner interface and fits my needs well. It was developed by Quicken after intuit sold them off. So far it does a pretty good job learning/categorizing my transactions and their budgeting/spending plan tools are cleaner (imo)

I think they call almost everyone for a free "assessment"
Regardless, I don't find they're platform that much better than mint, and I don't like the UI all that much.
Maybe not the answer you’re looking for, but i track my spending in a spreadsheet. i hated mint and i use Personal Capital but found it doesn’t have great budgeting/expense tracking tools. tracking my own spending gives me full control of categorization and full knowledge of where my money is going

This! I resorted to an excel sheet to track my spending and then just use Mint to see my net worth.

They're both annoying, IMO. Mint is supposed to learn as you categorize, so it does get better, but many of my transactions have dates or transaction numbers which make rules impossible and I think they still don't support wildcards. Definitely set up rules for whatever you can, as they do help. For me, I still prefer the transactions on Mint as I find them more accurate. I try and go in once every 2 weeks to make adjustments where needed.
Amazon is a pain. I have the same problem, because of course there are no categories assigned to Amazon purchases. To be honest, most of my discretionary purchases (like a lot of Amazon stuff) go in the general Shopping or General Merchandise category. I have a budget for that, and as long as I'm roughly in that budget, it doesn't matter. I focus on categorizing the stuff that I either need to monitor closely (electronics, games, pharmacy, clothes, groceries) or stuff that is more one-off, like gifts.
I’ve recently made the move to Emma (the app icon is a gummy bear, FYI) and it’s been a bit better than Mint IMO.
I use PC for net worth and a spreadsheet for budget.
YNAB > Mint. By a zillion.
I use PC for net worth and cash flow. I don’t budget tightly (just have a good sense of my “means”). I find the cash flow tool best to confirm I’m always positive.
Used to use Quicken, now I moved to Simplifi

Got to the YNAB page and noticed it's not free. $11.99/month - worth it?
Yes. I think they do free 30 day trials.
