Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

Honestly, your experience should speak for itself! It's probably going to be more about cultural fit. Read up on the company values, maybe join a few virtual meetups to familiarize yourself with the culture and lingo.
Referrals definitely help but they also don't guarantee anything so if you can't find one it's not a dealbreaker. I would say that the biggest piece of advice I would give is to be persistent. Since so many people are trying to break into big tech it can be hard to even secure an interview. Just keep applying for roles that are of interest to you and I'm sure you will get your foot in the door eventually.
I am persistent and have no shame haha. Will do!
I got in with no networking or specific product management experience. It came down to personality and cultural fit and having some experience around a particular product. I applied to about 15-20 listings via linked in, no references or anything. Did not answer interview questions that well either but was able to describe what I did in previous jobs with passion and authenticity. Did not prep for the interview either and tried to be as organic as possible. Prior experience was in business analysis, project management and consulting.
We have very similar backgrounds! Maybe I will just start hammering out those LinkedIn applications. Love the authenticity regarding the interview too. I’m not a fan of people prepping for big interviews with scripts etc.
Well if your team or surrounding teams are hiring, let me know. Would love to chat to see if I would be a good fit!
You’ve got to fake it till you make it!
That’s very helpful! What about getting your foot in the door. Do I just need to message employees on LinkedIn or find referrals (obviously the best route). Any recommendations there? Maybe the virtual meetups?
