Hi everyone! I have a very large network of connections and former colleagues who have been affected by the massive layoffs lately. I’m compiling a list of open roles to share with them. If you’re interested in sharing some info please DM me and I’ll add to the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mDR7IiIsg_tvy2H-xYCO6QIb44-P3j1mRZqNOmBXaSI/edit?usp=sharing
Always drama, lots of problems
You will deal with a lot of drama. Exhausting in every sense but it can somehow be rewarding. You just have rise above stress.
ER is by far my favorite function of HR. Every investigation is unique which keeps it interesting. Interviewing employees, customers management etc allr require different styles and keeps you sharp. I even enjoy gathering evidence and writing the reports. Granted y previous career was as an investigator for Children's Protective Services so this plays into my strengths, but a good investigation always leaves me energized

HR is no vacation whoever it can be very rewarding
What do you mean no vacation? Our HR person seems to always be on vacation LOL.
Really stressful. Prepare yourself and don't let stress consume you. Best of luck!
I have to be honest I am the unofficial investigator of my friend group so I think I would channel my nosy-ness in the best way ha!
Hahah then I think the role could be a really good fit for you

I hate drama and I can’t deal with peoples emotion very well. So I don’t ever want to do ER
Yes. The comments about the drama are so on point. You need the capacity to deal with people if you want to switch to ER.
ER is not for the faint of heart. It can be emotionally difficult and at times 24/7. It’s complex and there are many eyes from leadership with high interest all the time.
