I’m in the same boat. Pretty much exclusively do disputes but want to get into investigations. Not to hijack, but as someone who’s done both can you explain what you like more about the investigations side? Also, how is the work life balance in investigations - I’ve heard it can be terrible and involve nonstop travel
Sure. I can only speak for my experience but I didn’t travel once and the latest I ever worked was maybe 7:30 PM, which was probably 3-5 times ever. This may have been specific to my group and company but honestly I wouldn’t mind increased hours at all if it was for doing something that piqued my interest
Have you tried discussing this desire with someone in your new place? They may just not be aware that you have the specific interest and may work with you to get you on those projects to keep you from leaving
