Anyone hiring for a Marketing Analyst position?
My last three jobs are 5, 2 and 2 years. In current job for less than a year and trying to get out. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about why I’m jumping around. So based on my experience you may have a hard time finding the next gig if you look now…At least be prepared to answer questions about why you’re leaving each job?
I have a similar issue. Actually came from medical field and pivoted to law, but it’s office politics all over again! Why can’t we just have a job where we do the work and go home? Might depend on if they’re looking to fire you and for what reason. If it’s for misconduct you should definitely quit unless you can’t afford to. For performance, some people may advise you wait to get fired to collect unemployment, but should document should your employer try to dispute it. Hate how it makes you look like a job hopper, though.
I’ve negotiated exits for such scenarios. You might want to try to do the same especially if there might be retaliation/discrimination claims
I could but it’s just nerve wracking. I’ve documented things said and done, but at the end of the day I’d rather just quit. Hopefully my current position won’t lead to a lawsuit
I guess if it were me, I’d pick happiness over money, unless you really need the money. People also unfairly tend to judge you based on how long you’ve been with a place. I would say look for jobs anyways if it’s bad enough.
