This is just a cold email? Whose going to respond? Why would they? Not sure where you work but this approach might not be a great idea

We do this all the time. Just be sure to anonymize both the client and the responses. And don’t ask any material non-public information
This is standard practice for a lot of firms. Anonymize it/keep it double blinded, don’t offer them money to talk if it’s a competitor of the client, don’t ask (or share if it’s volunteered by the interviewee) anything that’s non-public. Tough to get folks to chat some times but it’s not uncommon.
