Started studying for the cfe. My firm gave us resources to use to prep for the exams. So far, I'm scoring pretty low compared to my peers on the practice exams. Any advice on what to do?..Kinda scared
Hello all . I need advise for switching my career to forensic accounting practice.

Any advise for career change? Would that be hard?

Is getting CFE worth it? I’ve failed the 3 different sections of the CPA and I am giving up. But I would like some kind of certification to look a tad more marketable. Thoughts?
I recently passed the CFE and was looking into the CAMS next. Any suggestions on how to best prepare for the CAMS? I’ve been mostly reviewing the index cards that come with the prep material.
Looking to get a role with USAA , AML CIP Business Advisor Lead. I’m not sure if it’s difficulty with getting my resume noticed, but I’ve had some trouble getting a call back with USAA. Hi all - I am looking for some advice and possible future options. I have associate/senior KPMG experience and moved to industry working in investment accounting. I have passed the CPA exam and am looking at getting the CFE. It seems like a lot of forensic/fraud positions are based in IT/programming or other computer based skills. Are there avenues in fraud/forensics that would be open to someone with my experience? If so, are there any skills/certs that I would need to be a desirable hire? TIA!
For anyone who’s taken / passed the CFE, is it worth paying for the full exam prep course or would studying the fraud examiners manual suffice?
My current goal is to work in audit for a few years and then get a related forensics degree & the CFE then switch over to forensics at my firm. Any thoughts for how long I should be in audit before making the switch? Context: I really enjoy my job so far and am about to move to staff 2.
What are the requirements to promote from analyst to senior analyst? I’ve been with Deloitte for two years now and am wondering how I go about making myself promotable. I don’t have a CPA, CFE, etc. Is one of those required?

GMAT quant score percentiles are so astronomically high. A 50/51 puts you at an 86%. There’s no way I’m even getting that high. HBS has a pretty skewed median quant of 49 to a verbal of 41 for a total of 740. How would they interpret, for example, a 740 comprised of a more balanced 46/46 for the same total of 740?
Started at a new firm in a new area of law a few months ago. Thoughts on asking for a one on one with my senior associate to check in on how I’m meeting expectations thus far? Would this make me seem insecure? I’m afraid I’m not “up to par” - I teeter back and forth between ‘it’s a new type of law and firm environment, you’re learning, it’s okay’ to ‘80% of what I do comes back with substantial redlines and that means I’m failing’. 5th yr btw. TIA.

How important is the “about” section on your portfolio? I understand it’s the area where you can show a little bit more than work, but is that something we should give attention?

Everyone on here makes fun of KPMG.. but from outside they seem like the only Big 4 that isn’t too full of themselves? Only one I’d consider based on the opinion of the the other guys. Coming from MM the stuck up attitudes just makes me feel like I’d be looked at as not the type of professional the other Big 4 firms would view as adequate.
