Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

It's not really that hard of a transition. If you have good work, companies will be happy to have you. Titles aren't drastically different, just poke around LinkedIn a bit in the jobs postings for the kind of company you'd like to work for and you'll figure it out. Having switched a few years back myself, I don't regret it one bit, and it's allowed more creative freedom without the egos of agencies getting in the way.
You'll have to learn to navigate company politics and the fiefdoms of different departments that are used to bossing agency-side creatives around, but since you're no longer dealing with such personalities as clients, and there's no agency account people happy to leave their spines at home, you'll be able to take a stronger stance.
It's hard to get in period. What titles do you search? Director of Marketing? Creative Services?
Don't. Do. It.
Have a good book, like any agency. Also titles don’t translate 1:1, so don’t let that get you hung up.
Freelance at different industries until you have enough relevant work to transition. Go with smaller clients and start ups that are hungry and desperate for good work. Hard to get in more established places without experience.
@CD1 why?
👆bc you’ll miss it and going back agency side will be way harder.
