FMLA would make it illegal to fire you, and even without FMLA, I'm sure Deloitte would accomodate. You shouldn't be worried. Rest is crucial during recover, I'd even entertain the idea of pushing back the start date if surgery is required. Your recruiter should be more than happy to go over what options there are

like

Also D is being pretty flexible about how often to go into the office and the option is open for 100% remote. I'm sure your RM or recruiter will understand the need for recovery

Oh my - get the surgery you need. If your firm is anything less than supportive for something so short term and human, DM me and we will bring you to PwC.

Email your recruiter and partner and let them know what’s happened (attach a photo of you in the boot). Ask if there’s any flexibility working from home for a limited period of time and when you’ll have more information on prognosis and treatment. There’s a chance they won’t understand, in which case, it’s not a good group for you to be in long term and it’s best you found out now. The majority of people are good and understanding and will work with you. Sorry about your injury and I hope you heal (heel?) quickly.

I’m starting training and orientation from home for the near future, everything is already online

I will be in touch with them Monday after my CT. Thank you for the advice

Don't see this as a problem but maybe just contact your recruiter and push up your start date due to the accident.

Trust me the firms are very very flexible with your start date. I had tons of friends who pushed the start date for absolutely no reason

Di not see this as a problem. They will be flexible. They have the size and scale to flex this

I live in a HCOL city and am still not being paid enough to save/live . I have all of the tools/ skill sets to leave consulting and go into big tech . Was told I’d only have one round (4 interviews), each split 50/50 on case/behavioral. This is for an Associate position and will be interviewing with AP/P/SP level. Is this typical? Since I see most people have multiple rounds.
