I’m early into my career, thinking of leaving a midsize med mal firm to open a solo practice in business law but don’t have a ton experience in that area. Is this insane?

You’ve got to know where you are going to get clients from. Start making connections with the business world now before you leave so you hopefully will have a running start when you do leave.

I handle estate planning, so a bit different client base but likely similar networks: financial advisors, CPAs, business succession planning companies, business coaches, attorneys in other areas of law that run into business owners while handling other matters for those owners, local colleges (office of professional development), chamber of commerce, etc.

Everything Founding Partner above said applies to business lit. Business owners all have CPA’s, tax attorney etc start getting your name out there. If friends have podcasts jump on that and do interviews.

Now they have taken credit for the project I’ve been building over the past year+ without giving me props whatsoever to higher ups. What is the best plan of action here?

Hi fishes!

I have 3+ YOE in consulting and looking to transition to PM in the next 6 months. Guess it's enough time to wait out the economic situation and also prepare myself in terms of the knowledge/skills required. Does it make sense to join a startup to make the jump?

Apart from the attributes and skills required, what are the absolute basics I should add to my stack? So far I've identified Google Analytics, JIRA, wireframing tools like Balsamiq, agile. Please add on to these if you know.

Need suggestions for how to make cauliflower rice not taste like cauliflower. I love rice, eat it almost once week (significantly cut down from eating it almost every day as a child through college 😅) so switching to cauliflower rice is a challenge since texture and taste wise, I just KNOW it’s not rice. Usually eat it with seasoned chicken and veggies. I like regular cauliflower but for some reason, riced cauliflower has a stronger cauliflower taste for me?

I'm in South Florida. Currently a 6 year associate at a small firm (~12 attorneys, 55 staff). Making a move towards Managing Attorney position that they are considering hiring from outside the firm for. I'm going to make the case that they should promote from within and give me the position. I'm objectively a good candidate for it. Question is... what's a good salary for that position? What do you make? Thanks.
