I'm expecting a job offer Friday and I have 2 phone screens coming up. One screen also being on Friday which is my 1st job choice. The job I've already interviewed for is my last choice due to a few reasons. I don't want to be without a job. I also don't know how to navigate 2 phone screens and potentially 2 interviews and then having to back out after an acceptance due to another offer.

I wouldn't accept anything if you can until you finish both the screens. That way you can decide after weighing all your options. If one of the interviews seems more promising than the offer, you can then decide whether to go with what you have in hand, or swing for the position you really want. Since the offer is your last choice, I would at least give the others a chance.

If they give you am offer you 100% can ask for some time to think about it. They spent gonna pull out if you need a second to consider your options. Honestly if they did pull something like that I would think they are shady.

like

Have confidence in yourself. I’m sure you’ll be able to pull through this.

Hello folks!

I've cleared all rounds of interviews in a good company (atleast acc to me) and since they accepted my 3 months NP so I don't want to let it go.
The problem is its been around 2 weeks and I still haven't received offer letter after final discussion. Till now I was following up with HR, he is a good person (what I felt).
I'm getting a little restless and want to follow up with the manager(who took my interview) to fasten the process without appearing desperate.
Any suggestions?🙏

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?

Advice please- I have a phone interview for an industry role. Title is a bit ambiguous so I’m not clear what level the role is or what comp range should be. Of course I have questions ready for the interview, but do I ask the recruiter about the comp range in the first interview? I’ve always heard conflicting advice on this. I’m at a point where it’s not worth making a move unless it is a step up & pays significantly more but also don’t want to eliminate myself if there’s room for negotiation.

I have a Masters and 8+ years working in an external relations role in a hospital. I have since moved to the payor side. Would it be valuable to pursue another graduate degree (MPH or Dr PH) in order to advance in the payor world or would more education actually hurt my chances?
By advancement, I mean I would earn the degree and then try to find a job at a competitor. My leaders either don’t have graduate degrees or they don’t seem to value them.

Think the below is a good offer, though the recruiter used "Sr. Manager" title while internally its only Manager level with "promise to elevate soon". Recruiter also said this is their max deal (take it or leave it):

Current company: cloud consulting, $190k base, $10k bonus, no stock

New company: fintech, $220k base, 15% bonus, $100k stock paid equally over 4years.

Little about me: 15+years in on-prem/cloud infrastructure, including 8 years of management of 8-15 people. 90% team vs 10% tech.

I received an offer from Accenture for 51 L ( 38.8 fixed + variable ) for level 7 .

Can you please let me know how much of variable pay can I expect to get?

Is that connected to performance rating only ?
