That’s really tough. I don’t think I have a good, comprehensive definition of “strong woman.” However, in regards to feelings, I will say this: I think any strong person embraces their feelings but is able to work through them. I do not think it is strong to shut down feelings. Admitting feelings and vulnerability is a sign of strength. But it is strong to be able acknowledge them, deal with them, and keep going regardless.
Strength as a mother comes with wrestling everyday fears of decisions around childrearing, social and emotional guidance and development. Strength as a wife a d partner has it's own set challenges. Strength as a professional and leader is an every day doorway to walk through, rife with unknowns greats successes and speed bumps.
I think we, as women, and yes I'm generalizing, wear a lot of hats and spin a lot of plates atop our heads. We are brave and strong each day because we wake up, we get up, and we walk through those different doorways no matter how difficult the path is on the otherside. Then we wipe the kitchen table down at night and do it again the next day. That is STRENGTH, getting up again. That is strength.

Yes I agree. Maybe like a general ownership of who we are and where we want to go.
I have found more than ever that it is important to make time for a walk or socially distant cocktail with another successful female. To share listen and know you are not alone. It helps me get my mojo back faster than anything on-line.

I connect resilience and tenacity to a strong woman but I don’t believe these qualities are recognized socially as part of what a strong woman is?
