I had bad experience during my stay at Marriott. How do you I complain and ask for points? (I'm an ambassador elite if it makes any difference)
Recruiter contacted me last week for an operations position at LinkedIn. Anyone else had similar types of offers/interviewed around? I guess work from home Friday's are good for something....
I am currently in big tech and have been looped in on some conversations on making few WFH policies permanent. Do you think there’s a chance they fully outsource some roles to countries with cheaper
How would you advise rising seniors in undergrad to note internship offers that were canceled due to Covid-19 on their resumes? Asking for my younger sister!
I’ve started a job as a facilitator for elementary students who will have their distance learning at a nearby health club. They will all be in different rooms. As a licensed teacher, should I interact with their virtual teachers? Should I decorate the room to look like a classroom? I want to do well in this position but I don’t want to be overbearing.
For experienced folks out there, how did you figure out the office politics and company culture? What were your lessons learned?
Months have gone by since I got laid off. Unemployed. Getting rejected from every job that I apply to. No interviews. I hope that I will have my first interview soon and find a job soon.
Is there any way your coworkers could know ahead of time if somebody and who is getting fired soon? Or is it impossible for staffs/seniors to know this?
Could people share some “I got laid off and it turned out to be great” stories? Granted I’m sure none of those stories involve being laid off in a global pandemic like I just was.
Should you still do thank you emails after an interview when interviewing as an experienced associate?
I usually have good luck getting interviews having consulting on my resume. Any 🐠 have any experience exiting consulting, and still having good recruiter reach out numbers + getting new interviews?
Pet peeve: companies that ask for 5+ years of experience for a job they consider "entry level" and pay an entry level salary. Say what??
I was asked to interview for a start up, it’s remote, and 20+ hours a week. I’m considering it because I’m not sure what I want my next move to be and seems like could be a good in between. Thoughts?
Besides company provided insurance in US, what other life or health insurance you have bought on your own? Approaching 40 and wondering if I have my bases covered. Married and a kid on the way.
New to the consultancy world! Apologise if this question has been asked many times. My sister is getting married in India in December and wanting to attend the wedding. But my visa appointment is in February. Even after I use all my leaves, I still need atleast 45 days (1.5 months) of unpaid leave. As per EY rules, I can't work outside USA. Did anyone go against the company's rules and figure out a way to work from India? Just thinking of all possible ways to make this possible! Thanks peeps :)
