I’m getting a new boss and I get to interview them. What kind of questions should I prioritize?

Ask about how they give and get feedback. What’s the structure? Is it informal and regular, only delivered during “formal” evaluations?


Why they are interested in this line of work, what is their favorite part of the work, least favorite, what do they think are important qualities in a colleague/team member, what do they enjoy doing outside of work....


Ask what they would consider their biggest leadership weaknesses to be and how they plan to address or counteract them. Ask them what their ideal form of communication is. Ask them how they plan to integrate themselves into the company/your team.


1. What is your philosophy on meetings? (Hint: some should be emails is the right answer haha)
2. Describe a time where you wish you had acted differently with a direct report in the past.
3. If we are in a meeting together and someone is inappropriate with me (yells or otherwise demeans), what would you do?

I cleared the Level 2 interview as an Appian developer. Could you please let me know what Level 3 interview would be about? Thr HR said it's an interaction session with the panel. But should I be prepared technically?

Talent and recruiting should be held accountable for how they treat candidates. I’m hearing a lot of stories about creatives going multiple rounds in interviews only to be ghosted. Please comment your experiences with this so people know where to stay away from.


I’m in the recruitment process with a Foreign company. I’ve interviewed with Regional GM, Hiring Manager, and Regional HR Director. Was sent skill tests, and completed them (It was my understanding that skill tests where last step in process); and now HR Director from HQ wants an interview. Is this a good sign? I’m really interested in the position and company. Just trying to get a feel so I can manage expectations.

What excuses to give if in an interview they ask why you decided to change from big4 A to B?


Am I overthinking this? Just got an offer from a T2 firm. However, I have to start back at the same level as campus hires (albeit with possibility for early promo) and the base salary will be less than 5% higher than what my base salary will be in 3 months when I am promoted to Consultant at D. However, T2 firm has higher bonus potential and faster promotions than D. Should I hold out for my promo in a few months and then try applying to non-entry level roles or take this offer?

Hi Fishes, my technical round in TCS for aws admin profile was scheduled on 5th feb, I received a mail same day that I have been shortlisted for HR round & need to upload documents on the ibegin portal, & the mail also said that HR discussion could be completed within 2 days of document upload. But I haven’t received any invite for HR interview yet. What does this mean?


What will happen if you get rejected in multiple client interviews, EY will keep you on bench or will sack you?
In the past, completed two projects but duration was short (4-6 months).

Is it ok to blame candidate if the domain he is interviewing for is not his core domain? What's the average duration a candidate is deployed on a project?

When is it time to give up on a job offer coming in and move on? Internal recruiter has been in constant contact with me and extremely positive, but the final decision seems to keep getting pushed off because they can’t get all the decision makers together to decide - 3 weeks now. Feels like I’m being strung along or maybe their second choice. I wasn’t looking to leave my current role, but this is an awesome opportunity. It’s starting to distract me in my current job though and can’t let it go.


I don’t know what to make of this. I’ve been out of work and interviewing for 3.5 weeks now. I feel like they go really well, then I get, we will call you and let you know we have a couple other candidates. Then poof nothing. SMH…I am very skilled and would be a great benefit for someone. Has anyone else run into this problem? Please any advice would help. Thanks so much.


Is this McKinsey salary way lower than expected or am I crazy?

Got a first round interview with McKinsey for a cyber risk consulting role and base is $100k with $5k sign on bonus - $15k performance year end bonus for “strong performers”.

Given expected McKinsey workload and travel - is this not crazy low?


Anticipating an offer next week for a marketing role at the associate level at Spotify . Base told to me in first interview was 110k. I'd like to negotiate up to 130k. Would be happy with 125.

Does this sound reasonable? Seasoned wisdom is much appreciated!


Interviewing for my dream job with a phenomenal agency tomorrow. Who can I bribe to ensure I get the position and what sort of premium would I need to pay to get the offer sooner than half a year from now?


I Appeared for an interview for RPA - Automation Anywhere. I didn't got any response after the interview. Then when I reached hiring manager through LinkedIn I got to know I cleared all the rounds but my expected cts is high so they might have rejected. First thing is I never said what I am expecting . And I clearly told In managerial round that I am open for salary discussion.

But no one responded. Will I get the call back in time? Or I just leave it and go ahead with other companies?

I think I screw up. Re-apply but still no interview dinged...

3 yrs ago I applied for HBS 2+2 and get ding.

This year, I got GMAT 760 GPA3.9+, plus an advanced degree from Top 10 school.

I did tons of volunteer work with leadership position in organizations. I got two promotions on fast track in a fortune 50 company. Supervise 4 employees. Hire a very good consultant and I really think my essays are really good.

And then... I only apply for GSB and HBS...now HBS even no interview dinged...

Hey Guys! I'm new here. I work for Amazon as ML Data Associate and I'm earning around 3.60 Lpa. I have found my interest in product management, did couple of courses, got certifications in udemy, did a project on wireframing and product vision, strategy putting myself in shoes of product manager, learnt Jira basics, planning to do Tableau and SQL and I have planned to dive deep and acquire knowledge of some product tools in couple months.
Is this enough for me to get into APM role now?
