Hi IBM sharks 🦈
So I got interviewed for a project by the IBM team. The interviewer told me that its a go ahead from their end, now the client will assess my profile and if they too are fine with it, I will be onboarded?
Is it true that we have client interview as well? If yes then after how many days of interview by IBM team, client interview takes place?
Or its just that if the IBM team is fine with it, we are selected for the project?
Any inputs on this will really help :)

^^^ exactly the wrong mindset and why the culture and this profession sucks. This mindset keeps the wheels spinning. Work when scheduled and only that. Rely on your managers to schedule appropriately. Do not work to “catch up” only to get more work to improve audit quality. Don’t be fooled.

For me, I feel so overwhelmed with all the work that I know is coming. I know in 3ish months this will all be over, but right now I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. The anxiety has kept me awake and nauseous the last 3 nights.. I know that once I get rolling and have a few big items checked off I’ll feel better, but this is by far one of the most overwhelming times of year for me.
No advice - just know you’re not alone in feeling this way!

Anxiety occurs because we feel we have no control over what is coming our way. Work stress will be there when you are working long hours over long periods of time. One way is to change your mindset together with doing a to do list everyday and crossing off for completed projects. I like to give myself a pep talk every-now n then to calm my anxiety monster. Meditation really helps. Visualizing a different goal such as I want to do an amazing job on the projects rather than how many hours I have to work. I see every audit/tax project is telling me a story about their individual or company life. For me this works. Every one is different and its takes time to understand how to manage one’s anxiety. Take care of yourself and all the best!
It helps me to make a list of where things are at and see if there are a few easy things I can get done that will put me in a better starting position (rolling memos & workpapers, making sure all the confirms are sent, etc). And just remember - they always file.

I feel you first hand... I woke up at 5am panicking about the audit a couple times with trouble breathing. Sometimes you can't think about all your audit issues but focus on resolving one at a time. Also definitely seek help from the team if youre going to break
Definitely going through your areas of responsibilities and getting a handle how the testing is done, then put a game plan together what you will prioritize and work on first. This helps me so much. Sometimes I can be bugging out , but after I have spent a few hours doing this, I am so much more relaxed.
Exercise and make time for yourself. Also leave public because this cycle never ends.
Focus on one day at a time. Don’t think about “busy season” and all that entails because it will overwhelm you. Set aside some time on Sunday to think through your upcoming week and create a to-do list so you feel in control before Monday hits.
Reading, working out, meditation - find something that can calm your mind and body and then make that a priority every day.
This.⬆️ often times anticipation of busy season is worse than the busy season itself. Focusing on one day at a time helps me a lot

Also, acknowledging your feelings is appropriate and may help you move through them better. I was very stressed at work today and expressed that when talking to others, but I kept moving along.
