I'm glad that partner track came out so big law attorneys finally have some media figure to look up to. I was tired of hogging it with better call Saul

Please don't mention this trash in the same breath as BCS

BCS is a masterpiece! Incomparable to none but hey, that's a bit harsh. Lol.

I have yet to watch it. It is on my list of things to watch but I just never end up having time. I heard it was really good though.

Yes!! I love this series. I am currently on episode 8 and can't wait to finish it this week.

Ok I haven't started it yet, is it worth it? I love Lana Condor but I wasn't sure about this one. If yall are comparing it to better call saul it can't be that bad.

It’s unintentional satire - terrible, but entertaining. Not on the same planet as BCS

Ohh! Now, this reminds me that this is still on my watch list. Maybe I should start it later.

Hi question: let’s say you have a client who kicked his ex gf’s leg rather than the door and left bruising. UK charge is assault by beating; is this considered “serious bodily harm” by UK standards ?

Just found out recently that I was being promoted to Director of HR. I've been with my company for 10 years and have worked my way up. However, I am the youngest Director at 39. I can't help but to feel that a certain older male colleague of mine who's almost 60 just does not respect me. I've saved this person from making some major blunders, yet he still treats me as if I don't know what I'm talking about. I have a masters degree and 2 senior level certifications. Anyone else dealing with this?

Hi Guys, can anyone please refer me in Siemens. I have a job Id. Please comment/dm. Thank you:)Siemens

My cousin was supposed to join tcs last week, as he got the email confirmation with DOJ from recruiter(same is updated in ibegin portal). She has not rec any onboarding invite in Callender though.
However, she couldnt join and not yet sure of the reason.
Ibegin portal still says the same DOJ but BGC status is showing as scheduled. HR's not yet responded with the actual reason and not sure on next steps as well.
Any idea what could be the reason? Will they extend the DOJ or Cancel that offer?

Currently in big law employment lit department, but interested in potentially doing government-side work in the future. Is it common for attorneys to go from big law to the EEOC, state departments (like CA DFEH), or DOJ Civil division (employment)? Or is there usually a step in between (e.g. clerkship, plaintiff’s side work, etc.)? Thank you!

So I just accidentally found out that the senior associate in our office makes almost 3x the amount I do per month. For background, we have 4 attorneys, the senior associate has about 9 years more experience than I do (I have 6). This person should be paid more than me, I have no problem with that. Is it normal for there to be that big of a difference in pay? I just want to know if I’m getting screwed.

For those who are more of a general practice (solo/small firm) - how do you know what type of cases you’ll enjoy doing and actually know what needs to be done? Example: from probate, to civil ligation, to real estate/property, to family law, to criminal, etc.; they are similar in some senses but vary tremendously as well. How do you juggle cases that you aren’t too familiar with or that you don’t know much about the area of law? Do you just wing it? Look to mentors for help?
