I’m going for egg freezing and am wondering how hard it is to do the shots myself? My boyfriend is terrified of needles and I just moved so don’t know anyone. Any advice is much appreciated

It’s super easy, especially if you’re doing egg freezing and not transferring. The shots are small needles subcutaneous in the abdomen. I actually found it easier to do it myself than try to get my husband to do it.

like

Totally agree with this!! Way easier to do myself I recommend icing before menapur to help with the burn

I injected myself. I have trust issues 🥴 This site is really helpful: http://www.freedommedteach.com/eng/

Me too.. husband couldn’t gauge the pressure required for the shots. I found it easier to do it myself. I had a lot more control on the injection.

like

It’s the egg transfer shots (progesterone) that you need help. Egg freezing I preferred doing myself.

like

Retrival shots are super easy. Short tiny needles. I thought giving them to myself actually made them less painful.

like

I was scared but I did them all myself. The first time took me like an hr bc I had to watch some videos but after that each time took 10-15 min. I hate needles and I did fine!! It’s a bit overwhelming but there’s some really good you tube videos

like

A LOT of self-inject women buy an auto injector to make that stuff easier.

That said, I thought I’d LOSE IT when my hubbs went out of town and I had to do my own, but it was fine.

like

Very easy. DIY. Don’t even think twice. After day 3, it will become as easy as putting on underwear.

I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. Recently have hot a point where I can’t put in the hours (3 yo/fam), and my work has taken a major hit. Anyone in consulting/assurance have any methods for managing this when it comes to PM duties?

Any suggestions on how to go about negotiating a salary that I previously verbally accepted? The market rate is much higher than the comp given to me. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

I just had the initial call with HR. I was told that Senior Analysts start at 56k and Business Operations Specialists start at 67k. I was told the next step was Junior Manager but they rarely started anyone at that level. I'm shocked. Is that accurate or are they trying to lower my expectations? I have an MBA and an MHA and 20 years military experience.

With how everything is now a days, I feel like a bad person after a day of work. Just me? Was it just a bad employer that I worked for? I feel lost.

I lost a baby at full term pregnancy (no genetic cause) and we are ready to plan for a second one. I am wanting to go through IVF because the genetic testing would rule out any bad surprises that could come later and also my husband and me are carriers for AMD. I am lost where to even start from. Would I need a referral for IVF? Will I be paying all the cost? My husband’s company has a plan but I don’t know if we would need to qualify?

At what point do you decide to switch labs when IVF isn’t working. I’ve had one cycle so far, and 2 FETs with an AA and AB embryos (both genetically tested), and no luck yet. No underlying infertility issues (doing IVF for genetic reasons) so I’m kind of confused as to why I’m not having success. I have one AB embryo left and if that doesn’t work I don’t know if I should stick with the same RE/lab or go somewhere else? Like how do you know if it’s you or them that’s the problem?

I don’t understand what is going on. I don’t see how not pregnant, unless my pcos is flaring up again so either way just upset :/

Hi. I have very low AMH, 36 years old & never have been pregnant. I have done 2 IVF cycles this year approx 5 months apart. Each time had only 2 eggs retrieved, 1 fertilization each which lead to the embryo reaching blastocyst stages both times & both came back normal after genetic testing 🤍 talk about beating the statistics odds! 🤞🏻 I now have 2 cutie embryos saved. My husband & I would love to have twins and will be speaking to my doctor about the best options. Twins thoughts?
