Unless you’re video editing / animating, the air will do everything you need it to with no problems.
Air
New MacBook Pro is big heat bro
I’m a writer and get the pro because I have so many GD tabs open it kills the processor. But that’s just me
I’m never going back to an Air. The pro has the right amount of power for working remotely. I used to have so many issues, but the pro solved everything
Depends on how big you want your screen to be IMO. You don’t need the Pro computing power.
I have both and the only big thing I notice that’s different in my day to day is the menu toolbar on the keyboards :) one is touch and one is not.
Disclaimer: I don’t use either for any intensive programs like excel or art
I've used the air for 4 years of freelancing as a CW. Got old, got the new one, it's smooth as silk and will last for at least 4/5 years more.
I have an Air and I love it. I used to have a Pro and honestly don't notice any difference other than the touch bar, which I did not like to begin with. [It was a distraction for me] I am constantly editing photos in and out of lightroom/photoshop and working on design in indesign and illustrator, I've never had an issue.
If your work is mainly related to only writing, I’d say MacBook air is enough.
The Air. It use to be a piece of shit, but now with the M1 processor, it beats out last year's Pro.
