I think asking to think it over “for the weekend” is a reasonable request. And it’s perfectly acceptable to tell the other job that you’ve received an offer but are very interested etc. I think the phrase I’ve used is “can you let me know if I’m still in consideration” or something to that effect.

I think a weekend to 1 full week is usually what I’ve seen. I’d try to communicate where you’re at with the remaining firms, just to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Does your work factor in heavily in your anxiety? I mean if you don’t need to work/hold a job (assuming your financial position doesn’t change - I know it’s not a probable scenario but bear with me for the sake of this question), do you think your anxiety will go down significantly? I don’t think I have anxiety but my spouse does and I’m trying to understand it better. Sorry if this comes off as insensitive.
