So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

I wouldn’t bring a baby to an office cocktail dinner. That doesn’t sound like a kid / family event. Keep looking for a sitter. If you can’t find one, stay home.

100% this
Do not bring a baby to a cocktail dinner!
Keep looking for a sitter. Even if it is only for 1 or two hours and you have to leave early. It is good for both of you to go together
Looking for a baby sitter should not just be your responsibility. Your partner should contribute as well. Don’t bring your baby to the dinner. It is still a professional social environment.

I’m going to assume you cannot bring your child with you but you can always ask?
I would keep looking for a sitter but that’s just me
Do not bring the baby. As a mom, and as a professional, this is a big no-no. Having a baby there will make you feel awkward and if I know babies, they will do something totally unpredictable at the wrong moment. You really do not have a sitter? You guys should be doing date night at least once or twice a month. You could try to see if the baby's daycare provider can cover for an hour or 2.
So I didn’t go stayed back to watch comedy shows. Thank you all for the kind responses 🥰
