Looking for internal consulting roles within the industry - anyone care to provide a referral? PhD with >5 EOY in consulting.
Serious question.. did anyone else’s body just start rejecting food as they got older or after multiple c-sections maybe? Pretty much everything besides vegetables makes me sick and it’s been this way for over a year now (at least, I don’t remember when it started exactly).
Hi all! I’m talking to someone tomorrow on the team for a role I’m super keen on. Luckily enough (not sure If this is good timing) when I reached out to them a few weeks ago and confirmed the time for us to connect, a job in their area opened up a few days later. I’m super keen on trying to push my application and ask about the role (already applied but without a referral :() How would you approach the conversation? I’m a little intimidated since it’s at a hot tech company and they’re MBB.
S1 audit comp in Atlanta?
Can we consider ourselves safe if you haven't been fired before July? Since the base comp kicks in then? (I haven't had my CRT yet.. RP in some training..)
I feel trapped. I hate consulting, hard work, corporate life in general. I have so much student debt after MBA school that I have to take these high paying jobs that require a lot of effort but I just don’t think I’m built to do this forever. I don’t spend much on other things but it’s scary what happens to my finances if I make a major purchase like a house, have a kid, etc. Not sure if I’m asking for advice or rambling
My flight from DCA-> TPA literally just had to abort takeoff to let a 12 year old boy deplane. Ready for a damn drink!
Noob question: how can I know my tax rate when i retire and start withdrawing money from 401k?
For post-MBA associate roles at McKinsey: how does the work and lifestyle of an associate in the M&A practice compare to those of being in a generalist associate role?
Can someone provide insight into firm culture at Troutman in Atlanta? Trying to decide whether I should head there or choose a smaller boutique firm. Both are similar in terms of billable requirements, and have comparative compensation.
Is a salary raise from staff2 to senior1 higher than a raise in another year as staff? assuming you are a high performer and want to stay as staff to learn more?
Tech consulting (cloud) offers. Which one to choose? Accenture - Cloud Native Application Architect - 180K - 20K signon Insight DI - Architect I - 167K base + 10% bonus - 5K sign on Money & benefit wise acc. looks good but I am concerned about the WLB. Also, I interviewed for Cloud native sr. architect. Recruiter came back with 'great feedback' but is now asking me to apply for application architect. It doesn't make any sense to me. Is that normal? It seems there was a goof up from recruiter
Just this second my long time boyfriend told me he is not planning on getting the vaccine. We were going to move in together in May/June. We each have a kid. Thoughts?
Any of y’all ever move from agencies to a marketing role? How’d you talk about your experience?
Kaiser health plan — do any traveling consultants have this? Recently moved to Oregon and it’s the most attractive on paper but is it totally pointless if you travel?
Fairly confident I’ll get an in industry offer this week! Mixed feelings though... Main reason for leaving is WFH consulting just simply isn’t enjoyable. Getting harder for me to see the value in grinding for consulting. Is this short term thinking off? Do people think weathering this storm will give potential raises / promotions soon? I just don’t see consulting going back to what it use to be for ~2 years. I’m a consultant level going for promotion to manager.
I’ve been struggling with the future of my career lately. I’ve been a business analyst in fed software dev projects for 5 years now. The natural progression would be to become a PM in a similar project. I’ve fortunately been given many opportunities to try out some “lead” roles at my current firm. I’ve tried it...and I just don’t like it. Doesn’t fit my personality or give me any satisfaction. I like working more on the “ground” and learning from developers. But I know I could be making cont.
Curious about the perception of Watson Health , and if ppl think it’s a good place to start a career (why/why not). Thanks :)
