Just be honest with your manager or director, whoever you feel comfortable with. I went through the same thing last year and they were super understanding. Your health comes first, not work.
I'd tell them just that you are having some medical issues and will be at some doctor appointments. You may also want to let hr know so they can get documentation in your file or provide options to you. Also, mirena is awesome, if it's an option for you.
I had the mirena but got it taken out because it wrecked my skin and my body is still adjusting 4 months after getting it out (hence the doc appts). Otherwise I liked it and wished it worked out!!
I was having similar issues for about 7 months. If you need regular and scheduled medical leave, work with you Partner and HR. If you are just out randomly for apts and it doesn’t affect your work, let your teams know you have a medical issue and will make the time up outside business hrs.
Remember, everyone will be a little curious about what’s going on with you but if you don’t want to be specific you DO NOT have to share the details of your medical issue for it to be a valid issue
Did you try Paragard ? No hormones and still a contraceptive.
I went off birth control 4 years ago after a health scare and never looked back. Also still no babies ;) takes more diligence but so worth it. As for your schedule, if you let them know it’s medical, they shouldn’t have issues with it. At least not at my firm.
Creating a flexible schedule to help with my appointments. I switch teams or projects every few weeks in my LOS. I’m trying to figure out the best/most appropriate way to approach telling my managers that I’m not skipping out on work I’m just dealing with some health issues
Get off birt control. Tell them it's the doctor theyll be cool
