Wanted to share smth I found recently. I felt like it was pretty darn accurate. I’ll provide the link here but there’s a screenshot I took that I feel I can relate to quite heavily. https://pairedlife.com/love/infatuations
I’ve struggled with so many heavy infatuations before and a friend recommended this. Hope it helps anyone else out there who’s gone through this or may be going through this right now.
Dear God please give me the strength

Someone suggested me to try finding student therapists (like still in training), and the charge rates are apparently a fraction. I’m still trying to find one in the city
Same tried finding therapists but all were booked.
…they openly talk about being raised to expect women to be at home and not work. They refer to black women as “queens”. I’m disgusted and uncomfortable working with them. There’s also a lack of basic respect and professional courtesy. I’ve raised my concerns several times …and of course I’m the one who is seen as wrong. My instinct is to resign …but I need the health insurance to pursue care options. I tried talking to a senior person about my mental health challenges and the team challenges and she said “I don’t really want to talk about that right now …you need to work it out”. Work is not supposed to be this bad …so it must be that I’m the issue. I feel very stuck.
Take a leave of absence. You may have short term disability benefits & your pcp can provide a note for a few weeks and spend the time looking for a therapist. Its hard right now because everyone's got mental health issues these days so the therapists & psychiatrists are booked up. Try your EAP too (call them! My EAP had therapist taking the calls to help navigate the process), you can get like 5 to 8 sessions for free. If you don't like who you picked they'll typically let you find another with a fresh set of sessions. I did this and picked a therapist also covered by my insurance so i could continue with them. My issues were so bad i got intensive outpatient treatment which is covered by insurance. Lots of individual/group therapy & its provides med mgmt. A lot of these programs have waiting lists as well.
Are you looking for a new job?
Try zocdoc to find a therapist within your insurance. If you’re open to paying out of pocket try Teladoc. It’s approximately 100$ per visit.
What meds are you on? Try changing to different meds after talking to your psychiatrist. For psychiatrist that price is what I paid for first visit, later on it was 119
What firm is this?
Try psychologytoday.com. you can filter by insurance carrier. Highly recommend doing that and seeing your doctor about changing up your meds. At the end of the day, you know the environment you're in isn't healthy and is contributing to the problem. If you have HR, go to them and let them know what's going on. Either way, start looking elsewhere. Work isn't supposed to be that difficult but for a lot of people it is. There are a surprising amount of prejudiced and incompetent "leaders" managing people. Their nonsense isn't a reflection on you. The job market is still going strong. Take advantage of that and get out.
echo'ing the suggestions above to change meds and find a therapist that's a good fit for your. changing small lifestyle habits is a great way to take baby steps toward progression like setting a routine, diet, exercise, go outside, meditate, etc. everyone is supportive and rooting for you.
