Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

If your company has a written dress code, just make sure it’s included as one of the onboarding materials (no emphasis really needed on it).
After that I would try positive reinforcement when she wears something appropriate: from one woman to another it shouldn’t raise any HR issues to say something like “I really like that dress!” or “that color looks great on you!” which should then encourage her to wear the professionally-appropriate outfits you’re complimenting.
HL1 oh is that all it says? You’re right that wouldn’t be very informative. Ours lays out specific dos and donts, like no shorts.
SE1: I started typing a snarky response asking if her cleavage distracts you, because I’m exhausted by the policing of women’s clothing and bodies. While I personally don’t care what people wear, I do understand that some offices (rather people in offices) have a more conservative dress code than others. With that said- if you like her please hire her. This is an entry level job, so I assume she doesn’t have a lot of in-office professional experience or professional clothing and she may have chosen the “nicest” or “fanciest” outfit she had. Why? Because she wanted to make a good impression on you. Getting this job probably means a lot to her. Perhaps with this job she will have some cash to “upgrade” her wardrobe!
When you hire her, you can tell her during orientation that the office is a “business casual” workplace. Once she is in the office she will see what is “appropriate” for your workplace and most likely will adjust. If not, as long as she is smart and performs her job duties well I wouldn’t sweat it too much.
Helpful point of view, thank you much.
