Is there a way to translate for him what that 30% improvement means? Perhaps walk him through how long these processes and things you have implemented typically take to show ROI? How is the sales team utilizing this information and how can they be an ally?
Sounds eerily familiar 🤔 Antiox makes a great point but if they're not receptive to that, move on.
If you’re generally happy in the role/company then increase communication with your boss and get clear guidelines around what results they are needing to see. Then start keeping performance records of how all efforts translate towards meeting those goals. Spreadsheets are an excellent tool when dealing with management I have found. Put things in clear statements “X marketing effort translated into X revenue, showing an increase of XX% compared to last month/quarter” so they can be quickly satisfied and you can continue on with your work.
That being said, if you’re not completely happy and feeling undervalued/underpaid/burnt out…start looking. I’ve had 4 marketing interviews in the last 10 days, the market is hot despite the recession. You would be valued elsewhere!!
