Been at Uber for 3+ year and interviewed/recruited dozens of folks during this time. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Worst case you're making up for generations of an uneven playing field. Look at all the posts here about people being closeted. Most likely it's not making an iota of difference.

If this comforts you, I don’t think companies care that much about LGBT diversity (gays are overrepresented at many places anyway). They like you. Good luck!

Hi! First time working with a larger company - suggestions on handling pronouns at work? I’ve worked with smaller agencies where it was easier to bring up. Now I’m on a larger team, talking to/referencing people I’ve never met. I’m less concerned about my own pronouns and more concerned about how to make sure I’m using the correct pronouns for the people I work with. I’ve been structuring sentences to avoid gender specific pronouns but would love to hear suggestions. Thanks!

Is QEF inclusion dividend or not? Sometimes, I see QEF inclusion reported on Line 11i and sometimes on Line 6a. I think we can rely on Sec. 1293(c) but I think it’s not foolproof. My hunch is since QEF regime is tailored to treat the PFIC similar to domestic mutual funds, we should not treat the QEF inclusion as dividends. Any help is appreciated.

I’ve worked at the same big 3 boutique since I was a clerk. I’m a NEP now. I work in a mid to small market town. One of the partners in one of our larger offices wants me to move to their market. I have a great relationship with this partner and they are telling me they are planning to retire in 5 years. They have a sizable book of business. I have two small kids, my wife is an attorney who practices in state court. I’ll never be more than a well-regarded service partner if I stay. Would you go?
