I’m in a final rounds of two companies that I potentially want to work for, Grubhub and Groupon. I recently had a recruiter from Deloitte digital reach out as well. At this point I’m not sure if I should reject the recruiter or go ahead with an interview even though I might be getting offers this month from other two companies. I’m honestly torn because they all seem like great opportunities and it’s absolutely wild to me how all three are happening at the same time for me.

Go and interview with Deloitte! I don’t think it hurts to just have a chat and make that connection with the recruiter. If you end up getting the offers in a month, you can always tap out of the interview process and still walk away with new connections with whom ever you speak with at Deloitte.

Also I don’t see it as a risk since you don’t have the an offer in hand yet. Nothing is guaranteed so it is best to always keep your options open. 🙂

Do it, do it! You can always ask Deloitte to speed up their offer if you receive offers from one of the other two. You can also ask candidly how long their process takes and let them know you’re expecting an offer from another company and won’t start the process with them if it’s a long process. They’d appreciate that you didn’t waste their time. Or just start interviewing and if you get an offer and they’re not ready to make one, you leave it to future you to make the call on going with one of these companies on an offer in hand or holding out for Deloitte.

In the meantime start digging for work life balance, employee ratings, salary expectations, etc. so you can add those to the pro/con list.

Congrats and good luck!

I guess I want to know what’s the proper thing to do here? Do I reject the recruiter and focus on the two other places even though Deloitte digital is one of the companies I want to work for or go ahead and try interviewing but risking the other two great opportunities?

I would interview at Deloitte Digital too. If anything, you have leverage now that you are anticipating possibly two offers from other companies. You can mention to them that you're in final stages with two companies and it will help them expedite their hiring process especially if you looked promising to them. Good luck OP
