I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Don't do it. They are clearly looking at taking advantage of you. They'll likely present it to upper management as a great achievement and get a nice increase in pay while you get a couple of bucks for doing all the work.
Well, I will tell you this much. About 6 months ago I missed the opportunity to work with a very large company in LOng Beach. For what you do I was getting laid 32 per hour. I will leave the rest to you. How much are you worth is the question. Not how much they think you are worth! How much do you know? Knowledge is power.
This situation seems a bit unfair.. taking on double the responsibility for just "a couple bucks"? I'd say you should definitely ask for more, especially considering the added workload. You’re looking at managing both AP and AR, so asking for at least $22-24/hr sounds reasonable given the extra duties. Don't sell yourself short
I was thinking no less than $22 but ask for like $26 so maybe they'll meet me in the middle. But it still seems like not enough for ALL of that work 🫠
Double
I wish but that's never going to happen 🤣
The best way to have raise conversations starts with your qualifications such as degrees, certifications, etc that you already have layered on with the contributions you have made to the team which helped the team improve and streamline the processes, save $X amount of dollars due to these improvements and efficiencies gained from your contributions. By being able to speak up to the value you have already contributed to the team on top of speaking to these extra responsibilities and plan for managing the extra workload and plan to improve and create synergies will get you a major bump in your pay. Unfortunately only increased transaction load argument only probably will not help them see the full picture of the value you bring to the team. Make this a meaningful conversation if you are going to have it and be able to quantify the value you bring.
Thank you! It is a great idea to bring up how much I'll be saving them per year while taking on this work load.
You get paid for the working time hourly. No matter you work as AP or AR. In fact, AR usually makes less than AP. In great Chicago area, AR and AP positions already make around $22-$25 hourly.
Thank you! I plan on having the discussion when/if they offer me the position. 5k is only $2.40 an hour though so I'm thinking a little more than that.
$25 a hour atleast
$25-$30/hr you are saving them a full salary. Take every opportunity to remind them of that plus the cost of training because you will have to train someone, which will impact your productivity as well.
I am actually a Stylist at Dillards.
I would say 25.00 an hour at the least!
School bus drivers in new jersey make $29. Granted I don't know your location but ask for the highest you think is reasonable and negotiate from there. Hoping you can at least settle at $25
$25 would be great. It seems our immediate area doesn't pay very high. I'm in central PA
Hello, I have 10 + years account payables / receivables experience.
I feel $28 is fair
I would ask for 30
