I’m in change management and work closely with program leads to identify what’s changing and how to support the impacted groups. However, the program lead of my assigned program never answers my pings. I end up double and triple pinging for clarification and get a response weeks later. The worst part is I can’t execute on my work unless the lead approves/reviews. Does anyone have advice on doing change management with an unresponsive PM?

No, I’m a PM that needs to also do change management though so would love to chat!

I’d suggest putting a meeting on their calendar and set the stage for working norm and expectations though

Agree with SC1 in addition, if you have enough info., consider putting something on paper (or PPT) showing where you think things are in the project cycle based on what you’ve been able to ascertain without them then send to them for their review and feedback. Often, showing someone something elicits a stronger response than asking them to tell you what they think.

Did you discuss this problem with the program lead?

I work in change, so let me save you some time -- you are a relationship manager, you don't have to be confrontational. This is your program lead, but are there other people on the program that can provide you with impacts and status?

Without more context I suggest you start by addressing it with a regular meeting as SC1 suggested, but focus it on making sure this person understands the value you're trying to bring and how you can work together. You may be misunderstanding their role. Also, you need to build a relationship so if they're already bought in then don't make calls all about work. When you do talk about work focus in on status updates and gathering impacts.

It’s a risk - that works

Hmm right now I’m doing the change management planning so no risks or anything flagged so far. I’ve been writing comms, doing stakeholder interviews, and flagging stakeholder concerns to lead but she hasn’t been responsive with reviewing my materials or asking my questions which leaves stakeholders in the dark.

Hi Fishes,
I have overall experience of 5yrs. Out of which 3years for US healthcare and 2 years for US mortgage. US mortgage domain has now become thinner as industry almost sunk since most of the companies has laid off employees, I was also the victim. Fortunately, got an opportunity to work Optum but heard rumours about the lay-off in our entire process which is creating a frustration and negativity all around. Please refer me if there's any relevant opening in backhend operations. Thanks!

Any idea the salary range for consultant at Deloitte in human capital in New York?

I'm an experienced Generalist/HRBP for an extremely high volume/large org. I have a masters in HROD and SHRM-CP. My role is getting to be more and more transactional by the day, all my strategic projects get pushed to the side by the endless daily fires that are, inevitably, tracking down employees and data entry. I'm actively looking for a new role (preferably Sr generalist etc), but can't seem to stand out among the crowd. Any tips? Louisville, KY.
