I’m in early talks with a recruiter for a support role at a mid sized investment bank. A few days ago I gave her a salary range. She just asked what bonus percentage I’m targeting. I don’t know how to answer this since my bonuses have been at my manager’s discretion. How do I answer her?

Is this a red flag? - I interviewed for a financial analyst role with a company -

Had several rounds of interviews back in May, all signs pointed to that they all loved my resume and personality and I made a great impression. I was told that the role was on hold due to “beaucracy” but the hiring manager from the role has kept in touch. He then reached out to me yesterday asking if I’m still interested and want to move forward..no offer letter, just gauging my interest.

Currently working as a Relationship Banker. Haven’t had no complaints with how Chase has handled the pandemic from the consumer banking side.
