I’m in M&A tax and want to get out of a tax-specific role, ideally into a CDD role. Already have a non-target MBA (picked it up to fulfill CPA requirements and originally didn’t care about prestige since I figured I’d stay in tax for my career). Not expecting to have tenure transfer over. When I post in the consulting bowl looking for referrals, people act as if I’m flipping burgers at Wendy’s. Any advice on making this switch/have you seen someone go from a TDD to CDD role?
