I’m in my 30s. Mid-career professional. Today I had an interview and they asked about a salary range and I just honestly told them how much I make. It’s totally against the advice but I’m comfortable with what I make and feeling more means more responsibility which I don’t necessary want 😅 Did I do a wrong thing?

Finally leaving big 4 consulting after over a decade! Decent 25% comp jump going into tech, but also increased my 2022 total comp by $65,000 between PTO payouts, signing bonuses and increased salary. It’s not a cakewalk but it’s worth it in the end.

Do any carriers in Europe pay salaries equal to their American counterparts? I’ve found that the salary for my role is pretty much halved across the Atlantic.

I know that my company, Chubb, does and from time to time they have rotational programs where not only do you maintain your US salary but you also get COLA and a housing allowance, unfortunately nothing right now nor permanent.

Another option would be insurance companies that pay your American salary while working abroad.

After a recruiter phone screen and 6 interviews, got rejected at the final round. Can’t help but feel it was a big waste of time, even though I know it’s not. Just sucks to invest that much time in prep, and advancing through three stages just to end up with nothing tangible to show for it right at the finish line.

Hello! I talked with a recruiter at GAP Solutions Inc. about a Clinical Advisor position in Rockville, Maryland and asked for a range of 125-135k and I got a written message that if all goes well, they can give me 125k. Typical! Research shows the average salary as 151k and I'd like to push for closer to 140k. Do I keep my mouth shut until after the interview or do I say something now? I don't want to dissuade them but I also don't want to waste time. I make about $110k now.

So my white male colleague just stole all the credit for himself. We worked on this task together and I came up with the idea. But when presenting to the manager he went ahead to say he created this and proceeded to explain it?? Idk if it was just an oversight cause he never done that before and has always been supportive and helpful to me.

I work on an account that has not set management boundaries with our client. It feels like we’re a restaurant, where client is allowed to directly request whatever tasks they want anytime and everything is urgent. Theres a tendency to send “last minute requests” which are usually completed on time... which means I have to drop everything else in order to complete it. I’ve been told to even start working 1 hr before my working schedule... even though I find myself working overtime 1-2 hrs. HELP!
