Great thesis on the current state of GME. It’s not a suggestion in either direction, but it’s a very good analysis of facts to help determine hold or sell or buy more. These decisions should be based on facts. Even if the goal is investing to make a statement, at least need to know what players are there to make statements against. https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lbaktb/sober_review_time_what_are_the_actual_data_we_can/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

I have two offers:

-$130k plus $5k signing bonus with EY Gps
I feel ho-hum about the government job because I’ve been doing it for so long, and also the option for hybrid work is uncertain. But the salary and benefits are obviously appealing.
Any thoughts, especially from those in private consulting?

I think that independence is going to be a challenge at any large firm unfortunately. But if I were in your shoes I’d find a great financial planner that works with a lot of big 4 PPEDs who can really advise (I’ve got one who’s helped me navigate). I legit still want to know what EY is paying you as a manager tho....bc I am nowhere near your net worth despite being a strong saver and owning my own condo in DC since 2011.
OP even if I were an expert at money I think that having someone who’s job it is to professionally advise on this is really helpful. Can run different scenario in terms angel investing and ID investment scenarios we’d never think of.
Jeez OP how much do you make as a manager at EY???
You’re missing the point of my concern. Just gave background info so people understand I’m not living paycheck to check.
a manager makes 400😱😱😱
Household income
EY is full of independence restrictions even though I only work on DoD stuff. I’ve jumped around to different companies every few years to get on new engagements. Things are going well for me at EY so I’m not in a hurry to leave. What’s the likelihood I could jump to another firm at the MD level in 5 years and not have to worry about independence in public sector work? Should I start thinking about making that jump now?
