Spent 4+ years as CMO of startup company. It was an incredible learning experience but also a very difficult uphill battle trying to steer the owners and the company in the right direction. I’ve just exited the company as of 11/18. The owners expected to storm the marketplace and emerge as a number one brand at only 6 years old without putting in the work.Company had a very hard time understanding the concept of a unique value proposition. Hoping to find a new remote (full time) position ASAP

If you’re a 2L who was hired for summer 2020 you should be hearing from your firm. My firm (V25) just sent a nonspecific message to our summers wishing them good health and telling them that we will be back to them as the scope and duration of WFH/pandemic/economic fallout becomes clearer. I know we are looking at a variety of options, including summer associate WFH and delaying the start date from late May to June, or later.
If you’re asking about fall 2020 hiring for summer 2021, it’s way, way to early to tell. We might still be locked down then, we might be back to normal, and we might be in the midst of a cataclysm.
Re p/f grades there’s no precedent but I suspect most firms will more or less write this spring off re grades and rely on other semesters’ grades and other data.
I’d suggest doing your best to control what you can control by working hard, follow g public health guidance, taking care of yourself and your loved ones, and trying not to be too reactive to the day’s news. It’s hard for everyone but we’ll get through it.
