I'm in shock. I switched jobs less than a year ago, and just got my 3rd pay bump (almost doubling my TC in that time). I feel extremely lucky, but it's driving significant imposter syndrome.
Are other companies making this many market adjustments? Is this normal now?
What company do you work for?? I just got a market adjustment, and it was only 4%. ☠️
Can you share what your TC was and what’s it now is? It’s possible you were below market and there were corrections to bring back into range.
Respectfully, ACN is known for underpaying their staff. They’ve come up quite a bit in the last 18 months or so because they couldn’t service their contracts. But my guess is most of what you’re attributing to crazy increases is that you were underpaid before.
Definitely not normal. I think a lot of companies, particularly tech and retail, are trimming costs through hiring freezes and even layoffs in some cases.
A mid-year pay bump might be a market adjustment to get you in line with average pay for your role.
Please share more info - where are you working and how can I get in? 😉
