Sales

I'm in software sales, and pretty new to it. I like sales, and want a career in it, but I'm wondering what other industries have lucrative sales careers.

Can’t beat SaaS IMO

You can do well in just about any type of sales. I would say - pharma, medical supplies, and financial services have pretty big upsides though.

SaaS is pretty lucrative along with medical/biotechnology and pharmaceutical.

Real estate can be fantastic after you get past the startup hump.

You may want to ask yourself a few questions: 1. Enterprise Sales or consumer sales 2. Long sales cycle and large deals OR shorter sales cycles and smaller deals 3. Do you enjoy selling to C-Suite. The former for all 3 may in most cases point to Financial Services, SaaS sales for products tagged to strategic functions across industries, Software services. The latter for all 3 may point to insurance, real estate, etc

Had a fight with the bf today - I am here on work visa, have a hard time finding other jobs, last night in the midst of things I said something along the lines of if you had loved me you would have helped me (bf is a citizen) with my papers. Am I wrong to say that? (I feel I am a little but not sure how much) And how to salvage if so? He’s been very nice usually but hasn’t talked to me all day

PSA. I didn’t realize you are eligible for short term disability (medical) plus maternity leave (including short term). May you all worry less about staffing and utilization leading up to d-day. 😃
