I’m in Tax, and will finish my CPA hopefully by the end of the year (2/4 passed). I’m 31, 5 years of exp in PA, 2 at B4; and I want out. I’m looking to move into the finance world. Equity analysis looks really interesting to me, how can I break into this field? Do I go get an MBA? Do I just start writing analysis on a blog and hope someone likes what I have to say? Any suggestions would be great. Also, how are the hours?

Can we talk designations a minute? I'm at the agency level now and would like to move to a company underwriter. If I'm going to add some designations to my portfolio, which would be the best? I don't think jumping right into CPCU is the right way to go. I can earn my CIC and then pursue a CRM or CPRM. I don't think I want to do the CISR since that won't do much for me if/when I move to underwriter. Is there something else I should consider? Do designations matter at the company level?

Would you rather: indie shop with great work, would be a bit of a "hustle" but likely would help you refine your skills OR holding agency shop with good work/life balance. Same pay, similar benefits, both hybrid. Have around 3-4 years of experience.

I recently asked for a raise as looking up medical assistant and years of experience in my area and found that I am not at market value for my position and 12 years of experience. I have not asked for one before or ever had any HR issues, write ups, warnings, etc. HR came back stating no to a increase as I am at 108% already per their market value. Does this make sense to anyone?

So.. very serious question. How can I start working with a recruiter? I’m trying to pivot into Data Analytics. The ones I have come in contact with seem to just be looking for people with experience or they just dont reply or ghost me. I have read amazing things about working with a recruiter but I dont know where to get started or even noticed.

I’ve been trying to change careers for at least a year with no luck. I have a degree in math, completed the Google Data Analytics certification, and have a few years of professional experience. I’m also working towards completing another data analyst certificate through DataCamp. I can sometimes get interviews but nothing has led to an offer, even for entry level positions. What's with all of these job application websites that have bugs in them and do not work. Jobvite and successfactors are awful UI. Meta's application page hates chrome auto-fill.
