I’m in the process of being “poached” by a V25 firm and afraid I’ll miss my current firm’s profit sharing contribution that is usually allocated by the end of April. The amount is typically 8-10k. Is it fair to ask for a signing bonus to account for this or what’s a decent equivalent? Anything I’m not thinking about? TIA

Is it not bull crap that the PwC "targeted skills bonus" aka retention bonus goes to select people who they considered flight risk only? recently promoted managers are tied down with the milestone bonus so prob arent flight risk so they aint getting crap. Why not give everyone a retention bonus if they suck it up through another busy season. with Senior 10% retention puts them at M1 salary. Thats bull!!!!

Southwest: I have been flying some short Midwest points and have had a Southwest Credit card since 2014. I was told by Chase that I could close my current card and then reopen a higher tier card, And I would be approved and get a sign on bonus. Today I was denied because I previously had a Southwest card. Now I have no cards!! Anyone have this happen?!
