A huge amount of people were just laid off and you’ll be competing with all of them for freelance work. If you have a job right now, keep it.
Have to agree with this. In normal times, some planning and prudence go a long way. But unless you're leaving with six months of guaranteed freelance work now, I wouldn't do it right now. It's tough out here.
Have at least 6 months of savings stashed away. Also incorporate yourself for better tax advantages and write offs. Plot it out but don’t do it. The next year is going to be a real shit show starting in late July/ August as all mortgage waivers run out. We are about to see another real estate market implosion.
Get your work. All of your work. Back it all up on an external drive.
