CAT adjusters with Progressive get their base salary, plus an additional 50% on their pay when a catastrophe storm hits. Inside adjusters stay remote so they do not get any sort of per diem. Now I’m more familiar with Field CAT adjusters as I was one, so not sure if it’s the same inside, but field adjusters also get a 5%-10% CAT readiness pay on top of their base salary since they can be called up at any time. Zone reps get 5% and full time CAT get 10%. Keep in mind CAT reps with Prog usually work a 20/8 schedule (20 days on with 1 day off during that time randomly, and 8 days off).

My Current CTC- 30(27.3+2.7)
Amazon - 30 fixed
+ 5 JB(For 2 years) and +11 RSU.
Technically 0% hike.

HR told me numbers on call but never sent estiamtes (been 1 week)

She is taking approvals on the salary I didn't agree to.

Ok workaholics. Maybe you’ll love this teasing from my boss. I’m leaving at 5 (ya know, the end of the day) and she says to others in our conference room as I pack up my things, “She’s only working a half day today!”
Also my company constantly pushes health and wellness, but when I told my manager I was taking a break she said “oh we get those?”

Yes, we do get those. And leaving at 5 is called having healthy boundaries with work.

Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏

The Way to a Higher Salary? Leave.

If I had stayed in the role I was in originally and grown with it, I’d be making maybe $120k, best case. I also wouldn’t have broken 6-figures in under 4 years by waiting.

The biggest lie that companies tell you is you can grow in a firm, both professionally and financially. The only ones that grow are already the people a) getting the promotions, or b) on the sales side.

If neither applies to you, the fastest way to achieve salary growth is to leave.

I was laid off a couple months ago from my content writer job at a B2B SaaS company. I made 55k. I am seeking entry/associate level digital marketing positions in Boston and am trying to figure out what salary to shoot for. I have a year and some change of experience in content writing, email marketing, and SEO. I also have dabbled in sales and government work for nearly a year. I have a B.A. from a selective uni. I have been told to shoot for 65-75k for my next job. Does this sound right?

The company I work at is growing. They want me to take on all clients and accounts. They are giving me the title of client success manager and they will be hiring one person to work under me. I want to negotiate for 100k. Reasonable?

I was recently promoted.. so I think. The company is going through reorg and with that, the minimum salary is being pushed to $52k/yr. I am currently earning $42k/yr and with this promotion, I was offered $55k. I am thankful for the recognition however, seeing as new employees will be hired in at almost the same rate; I’m not sure how to negotiate this. I would already be receiving a 23% increase but with the reorg taking place I would essentially be back a square one.
