L1A is not EB1. Most cases apply for it. But once you are a manager you can be L1A. For EB1 you need to have worked outside US for a year as a manager.

Manager 1 is correct. You need to work outside the country as a manager for an year. Your designation doesn’t need to be a manager. Even senior associate is enough for most companies to convert your case to EB-1.
Chief
you need to be a proper manager not lead or senior associate in lead role outside US for at least 1 year to qualify for L1A with eb1c
The rule for EB1C requires you to have one year as manager BEFORE entering the US. So, AFAIK unfortunately you cannot request EB1C.
Yes, L-1A is EB1-C category
Irrespective of visa, if you have worked in a managerial capacity for 1 year (within 3 Years from your EB1 application, you should be eligible. If L1A was approved, I assume you have the required managerial experience outside US. Push for EB1. L1A doesn't guarantee EB1, but requirements are quite similar. Good luck.
How did you get L1A without working as manager outside of US? I'm in a similar situation but got L2b extension requested instead after promoted to manager in last Dec
That weird, if you have been promoted as a manager you can apply a change of status and extend your visa. If you have come as an L2 into the US, you are a dependent and entirely depends on you org to submit a primary application for you.
For 1 year as manager outside US criteria, does it have to be with same company or any company is fine?
Same company.
