So I have a child with a disability (lots of therapy, special school, etc.) & my job knows and has been flexible. This thanksgiving week I was going to take off the whole week. I had to have a bunch of work done prior to leaving and I was so overwhelmed with work and day-to-day that I turned in some stuff late I apologized AND right after she realized I messed up a marketing campaign big time. I’m so scared I can’t afford to lose this job and I am so upset I let my personal and work mix. Advice?

How often do you correct your co-workers' grammar/spelling? On the one hand, I feel like it can be interpreted as petty. On the other, these are mistakes they should've stopped making a decade ago.
I mean on one hand it's important to teach kids money management.. but telling a 10 year old that after working for 40 years nonstop they could potentially retire with a million dollars to use during the part of your life where.. let's say you aren't really in you prime.. and posting that on LinkedIn.. I don't like it.

Open question. It seems like the South Asian diaspora has been able to garner a lot of wins in the West across things like representation across politics, media, and workplaces. What should EA’s and SEA’s be learning from and applying to our own context. Do we need to become more politically active, publicly demand more, show more community solidarity, build more coalitions? Is there also a geo-political element at play (i.e. Sinophobia / increasing focus on the Quad)

Looking for advice on what types of reports/data are most convincing to senior leadership for keeping staff on who serve internal functions (knowledge managers, intranet, content specialists)- I fear these are the positions which will be lost/replaced by contractors. I want to improve my quantitative skills so I can be more succinct. Any recs for skills I should learn? I can’t spend much $$ (i.e no grad school.) ps My title makes it sound like i have more background in analytics then I do :)

Hello! I’m new to Human Resources (7 months). I definitely want a career and to be quite honest, make a lot of money. I wanted to know if anyone got their masters degree in Human Resources and recommends it or if studying and acquiring certifications should also suffice. I’m currently trying to decide between aPHR and SHRM. Thanks!
I work in an old school company that does not allow anyone to work remote except for management if necessary. Ever since the pandemic started, it’s been a regular day reporting to work and sitting in the office all day. Due to Covid, we decided it’s best to not meet in person but stay in our desk and talk via Teams/zoom. I am now struggling on finding a remote job because I don’t have any remote work experience. Any tips on how to get a remote job in HR?
Can anyone recommend an internal social networking site/app/tools for a business with about 100 people spread out in different states? I’m looking for a simple post-comment-react tool, rather than a complex all-encompassing system. The goal is to allow employees to engage with one another outside of they specific work location, and with the ops team who is fully remote all over the US.
Hi Everyone, I’m looking to change roles to a tech or tech-adjacent company. I have a ton of HR Leadership and Business Partner experience but I’m having trouble even getting a phone interview for BP roles. I’m assuming it’s because I don’t have tech industry experience…is that a true assumption? If so, which tech companies are friendlier to people without tech experience?

Happy Halloween 🎃 I hope everyone is having a fun and lighthearted Monday. Good Afternoon, I interviewed for a role 5 times with a company, I was advised I would receive a decision call early this week. Well, today I get a call from agency requesting to set up an interview with this same company, I interviewed for 5 times. Should I call the company recruiter and get feedback regarding this situation, do I move-on, I’m open to any feedback. I’m so upset and don’t know how to take this..
Looking for some insight into the recruiting process. If a req was taken down after I had an interview, does it mean the job was filled? Hi All - I received a verbal offer from a big 4 organization about 11 days ago. I keep being told that they are waiting on final approval before they can give me the written offer. I am stating to get anxious, as I want to give my notice to my current employer and have another offer that expires at the end of this week, which I did share with the recruiter. Is this a normal timeline for these firms? Starting to get nervous that we may not get final approval. Thank you!
