Experience might be the primary thing you are missing. Is there any possibility of transitioning into some HR projects at your current company?

like

No possibility! I’m looking forward to get into new job! Just need a breakthrough to prove my capabilities.

I would start as a Recruiter in an agency setting. You will get a.lot of exposure to the business, recruitment and from there you can transition to a more corporate/private sector. You're in need of experience.

like

Thanks! I will try to follow your advice.

Take as many courses as you can on HR and people ops. The more you learn, the more comfortable you'll get and the better you'll be able to transition into your new role.

Any suggestion of must to do courses to start with?

Hmm, are you trying to do a long 8-12 month course?

Are you a member of the HRPA? Even if you aren’t you can enroll in courses, webinars etc. They offer some full day courses i.e workplace investigations. I have worked in HR for awhile and recently took the leap into pharmaceutical…what about it interests you? I find it extremely compliance oriented.

Does anyone have any advice or insight into studying for the Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA) certification exam? I can’t really find too much information on the test.

Had a second baby almost a year ago now and just can’t get back into work mode. I used to be a workaholic and now can’t find any motivation in my current job. Most of it is probably sleep deprivation and feeling like I don’t have any time to myself anymore, plus burnout. Anyone go through this after having kids? How long did it last? I don’t have the option of simply quitting, but contemplating switching to a true 9-5, no-stress job, possibly out of law, while they’re young. But that’s scary.
